Useful Links

Here is a list to websites or organisations that I have used or have been helpful during my training, or are just generally useful for those wanting to climb or mountaineer. I'll update this list as I go, so check back every now and then!

Blogs to Follow
Nick Bullock - The quinessential escapist. Gave up a secure job to climb, and is pretty good at it. Blogs better than me too. If you're wavering and need some inspiration, look no further.
Shauna Coxsey - World-ranked boulderer, women's climbing leader and all-around good egg.
Dave MacLeod - Inspirational climber, very good with tips and tricks to improve, so long as you have the dedication to put them into effect. Currently blogging about his return from surgery.

Resources and Information
The British Mountaineering Council - The home of British Mountaineering, the governing body of the whole affair. These are the guys that get us access to all of the climbing sites we so love. Great group of people and a useful website too
UKClimbing.com  - The hub of UK sport, trad, bouldering and any other kind of climbing you can think of. Excellent place for the latest news and the forum is full of well informed, experienced and patient climbers.
International School of Mountaineering

Equipment and Clothing
Blacks Outdoors - Good for general outdoors clothing and some good technical clothing, but lacks much in the way of technical equipment. Also not that fantastic for women's gear either.
Snow and Rock - Good range of mountaineering equipment from the basics to extremely technical. Staff very knowledgeable too. Pleasant BMC discount makes buying all that expensive gear a bit easier on the wallet. Very strong footwear lineup.
Cotswolds Outdoors - Clothing and a good amount of general rock climbing gear with some specialist mountaineering stuff, but they can normally order anything you'd want from brands. Staff tend to be pretty good.
Urban Rock - For all things climbing; gear, clothes, DVDs, Guidebooks, the works. Staff seriously know what they are on about. Excellent place.

Fitness and Conditioning
RMI Expeditions

Places and People
Westway Sports Center - My home turf, big wall style. Lots of top-roped and lead routes from 3+ to 7C+. Quiet in the middle of the day - find me in the bouldering field!
The Buiscuit Factory - Really good bouldering routes and a lot of strength and conditioning stuff. Decent shop too, and organised training sessions.
